What do you think of this type of parent?

I was a nanny for 6 years before I had my own son, and I have to say that I was always shocked and disgusted by this type of behavior. I used to work for a family who lived in Laguna Hills, CA, and they made really good money. The woman owned a smaller knick-knack shop, and the man is an airport designer. He worked long hours. She hardly ever worked. She had people to run her store for her, and she only went to work for about an hour per day. Other than that, she would go shopping, (leisure shopping,) get together with her girlfriends, and if she was home, she would be holed up in her room doing god knows what. By all accounts this woman did not work, but she sure knew how to play. They hired me to care for their 2 year old son and 4 week old baby. This woman wanted nothing to do with her kids, until her husband got home from work. Now that I have my own son, I could never imagine doing that. How selfish of a woman to hire help when she does nothing all day. Do you agree?
