Non invasive door locks?

I am a tenant in a houseshare. The landlord doesnt allow locks in individual rooms. I was wondering whether there were any types of locks which didnt /damage the door and can be removed later with no detection or damage. It sounds very fantastic, but I just wanted to make sure that I asked before I gave up.
