Overcoming abuse by previous owners? Dog is petrified of my broom?! Never seen ANYTHING this bad...stumped?!?

Maybe you could make some kind of game out of it for her to help her relax with it. Or switch to something that doesn't look much like a broom like those swiffer things? Good for you for taking her in, I hope you figure this out.
