Are we neo-fascists, not in the hyperbole sense, but actually?

No, fascism is an extreme reich-wing system, a government of, by, and for the military and corporate pigs. Any "socialism" it has is reich-wing National Socialism, with most of the benefits going to corporate welfare queens. The nationalist part of it says things like "You're either with us or against us" and "If you don't support the war and the commander, you don't support the troops" and "Love it or leave it."
